Job Title: Software Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to develop a cutting-edge interactive demo that showcases groundbreaking advancements in neuroscience and AI. This role will integrate AI model output data into an interactive, user-facing visualization platform, bringing complex brain activity research to life for both scientific and general audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python (backend and APIs), front-end development, and interactive 3D visualization (WebGL or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an interactive 3D brain activity visualization for web browsers using WebGL (or equivalent).
• Build a user interface that enables the selection of preloaded images, videos, and text, dynamically linked to brain activation visualizations.
• Implement interactive controls, including rotation, zoom, time cursor, and play/pause functionality.
• Integrate AI model code and output data with visualization features, collaborating closely with the research team.
• Ensure responsive, performant, and accessible front-end design.
• Develop a seamless front-end and backend integration for a smooth user experience.
• Partner with design and research teams to iterate on UI/UX based on feedback.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in both backend and frontend development with Python (APIs, web frameworks).
• Proficiency with WebGL (or similar) and interactive data visualization.
• Proven ability to build demos and prototypes, integrating backend and frontend components.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with scientific/research-based visualizations, especially in neuroscience.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional experience in software design and development.
• 5–10 years of experience with Python, backend development, and APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (required).
