What project we have for you
You’ll join a diverse, passionate team of experts in engineering, architecture, and product management, committed to solving complex logistics challenges and enhancing the delivery experience.
Work on our innovative solution designed to improve delivery accuracy by guiding commercial drivers directly to the correct building, apartment, or suite entrance.
The project involves:
- Client SDK (Android): Collecting probe data during deliveries.
- Backend Services: Processing data and generating recommended parking locations and walking routes using advanced algorithms.
- API Layer: Delivering these recommendations directly to drivers.
- Data Engineering & Analytics: Ingesting, cleaning, and transforming probe data; setting up scalable data pipelines; analyzing and visualizing insights; and feeding back results to improve algorithms and explore ML model integration.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines for probe data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation.
- Analyze and visualize probe data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Provide actionable feedback to backend engineers and product teams on algorithm performance.
- Collaborate with the team to define and integrate potential ML models when beneficial.
- Work with AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Postgres, SageMaker) to manage, process, and serve data.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across all pipelines.
What you need for this
As a Data Engineer / Data Scientist on the project, you will focus on collecting, cleaning, processing, and analyzing delivery probe data. You’ll set up and maintain data pipelines using AWS services, visualize data insights, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to improve algorithms and guide future ML model integration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and analysis.
- Experience with AWS data services such as Glue and SageMaker.
- Database storage expertise with Amazon Redshift and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality best practices.
- Ability to visualize data insights using Tableau and Amazon QuickSight.
- Familiarity with version control (Git, GitLab) and CI/CD workflows.
- Upper-intermediate English (B2+) communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with geospatial data processing and mapping datasets.
- Understanding of ML workflows and lightweight experimentation.
- Background in logistics, transportation, or navigation-based projects.
