About the Role
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation and collaboration with stakeholders using advanced techniques (workshops, interviews, discovery sessions)
- Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements) ensuring readiness for development
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and release plans, aligning across engineering and business teams
- Drive requirements prioritization using value-driven approaches, balancing customer impact, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability, maintaining consistency across features, releases, and implementation artifacts
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define solution approaches, clarify requirements, and support design decisions
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment
- Validate delivered solutions against business needs through acceptance criteria, demos, and UAT participation
- Monitor and evaluate product performance metrics, identifying gaps between expected and actual value and driving improvements
- Support solution validation and continuous improvement, including defect triage, feedback analysis, and backlog adjustments
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes, ensuring transparency and proactive mitigation
- Maintain clear and structured product documentation (e.g., PRDs, backlog artifacts, Confluence pages)
- Contribute to process improvements in product management, requirements practices, and cross-team collaboration
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in Agile software delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Proven experience managing product backlogs of medium-to-high complexity, including prioritization using advanced techniques (e.g., MoSCoW, RICE, value vs. complexity)
- Strong expertise in requirements lifecycle management: elicitation, documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria), validation, and traceability
- Experience translating business needs into technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams (preferably Java-based ecosystems, microservices architectures)
- Solid understanding of software architecture fundamentals, APIs, data flows, and distributed systems
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and stakeholder expectations
- Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple levels (business, technical, leadership)
- Hands-on experience with Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ownership of delivery outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with experience in current state analysis, gap analysis, and solution evaluation
- Experience working with metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and drive continuous improvement
- Strong ownership, decision-making capability, and ability to balance business value, technical constraints, and delivery timelines
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Required Skills
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and understanding of cloud-native product constraints
- Background in data-driven products, analytics platforms, or event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Experience with enterprise-scale products or multi-team/multi-product environments
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and collaboration with design teams
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or IoT domains
- Certification such as PSPO, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent
