About IHHP
The Institute for Health & Human Potential (IHHP) is a global leader in emotional intelligence and leadership development. Our upcoming book, co-authored by New York Times bestselling authors JP Pawliw-Fry and Bill Benjamin, introduces the Last 8% Culture System—a transformational framework to help leaders build courageous, high-trust cultures that outperform.
We're seeking a Book Marketing Consultant to lead and execute a full-scale launch strategy to maximize book sales, keynote demand, media visibility, and engagement across our ideal client audiences.
Position Summary
The Book Marketing Consultant will be the strategic driver behind all aspects of the book’s promotional lifecycle—from pre-launch to post-launch—with a focus on hitting key metrics like bestseller status, bulk corporate sales, podcast exposure, and qualified lead generation for IHHP’s training and keynote business.
This is a hands-on role for someone with a deep understanding of both book publishing and platform-building, and the ability to turn great ideas into powerful momentum.

- Create bulk incentive tiers tied to strategic offerings (e.g., masterclasses, private webinars, assessments).
- Package the book with IHHP’s services (e.g., Last 8% Culture Sprints) to drive enterprise-level engagement.
Launch Events & Media
- Plan and coordinate a multi-day virtual launch event, including live readings, webinars, executive panels, and author Q&A sessions.
- Lead media outreach, securing features in major business outlets (WSJ, HBR, Inc., Forbes, Fast Company).

Project Management & Analytics
- Build and manage the launch timeline and promotional calendar in alignment with publishing milestones.
- Oversee external vendors (designers, developers, media buyers, publicists).
- Track KPIs (pre-orders, social engagement, podcast reach, Amazon reviews) and pivot as needed for performance.
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years experience in book marketing, publishing, publicity, or executive thought leadership.
- Proven track record launching bestselling non-fiction books—preferably in the business, leadership, or performance space.
- Deep understanding of book retail ecosystems (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, airport booksellers, bulk distributors).
- Experience creating and executing podcast tours, pre-order campaigns, media outreach, and influencer engagement.
- Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
