About the Role
We’re looking for a UX Designer to join our broadband group and help shape the next generation of geospatial mapping tools used internally across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex data and workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
In this role, you’ll work extensively in Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. You’ll also use scripting skills to build interactive prototypes and assist with testing and validating design concepts. Experience designing wireframes for geospatial mapping applications or spatial data visualizations is essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Do
- Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs in Figma for internal geospatial mapping tools and related broadband applications
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive design solutions
- Use scripting (such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python) to create dynamic prototypes or automate parts of the design and testing process
- Contribute to usability testing and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements
- Create and maintain documentation, design specs, and style guides
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility best practices throughout the product development cycle
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a UX Designer or Product Designer, ideally with 3+ years in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping
- Experience designing user interfaces for geospatial mapping tools or applications involving spatial data visualization
- Familiarity with scripting languages to build interactive prototypes or support testing workflows
- Ability to simplify complex workflows into user-friendly interfaces
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Comfortable working in agile teams and fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with mapping libraries or APIs (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet, Google Maps)
- Background in telecommunications, GIS, or enterprise software design
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
