JOB DESCRIPTION
A large Material Handling Company is looking for a Controls Project Manager. This person will manage electrical installation and PLC commissioning for large, automated material handling warehouses. They will need to make sure that the equipment is up and running on time. The customer has tight timelines and high-quality expectations. This person will be the main point of contact interacting with the customer and communicating direction to their core delivery team regarding all things controls and commissioning. The delivery team will consist of controls and commissioning engineers. They will be required to train in Europe for about 4 months. Once training is complete, this role will require 30-50% travel as it is important for this person to be on site to ensure proper progress is being met on time and on budget. This person must be very driven, highly organized, a strong communicator and a great leader.
IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (marketing, sales, engineering)
Experience working on $50M+ size project
Experience with controls and commission of equipment
Proficient in reading CAD drawings Strong communication skills (this is a heavily customer facing role)
Working knowledge of sensor or actuator technology and control systems
Willing to Travel 30-50% depending on the phase of the project
