iOS Product Designer

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. and Mid-level iOS Product Designer to join one of North America's largest retail organizations. We are looking for candidates in the Greater Seattle Area OR Vancouver, BC area. You will be supporting our client's retail suite of applications, all geared towards an internal audience to help accelerate the in store guest experience and employee experience. You will be part of a collaborative team with product managers, developers, and other agile team members to unify and evolve designs and code that help to unlock elevated experiences across their ecosystem. The team is looking for someone to “elevate” each project by brining new ideas, practices and processes with their experience and enabling more creative freedom.

***This role is an 18-month contract to hire, you can be REMOTE for the contract but MUST be local to Seattle to be able to hybrid upon conversion on salary. ***

Rate Range from $40-$60/hour depending on mid-level or sr.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design solutions for a wide range of problems based on qualitative and/ or quantitative analytics
• Clearly identify opportunities and communicate design rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and be open to their feedback
• Design and develop prototypes to iterate on solutions with the rest of the team, or to leverage in user interviews/usability tests
• Apply and champion design thinking principles
• Partner with research team to plan, design and in some cases, conduct research to inform your design decisions
• Be a collaborative, systems-thinker that continues to find ways to evolve and improve how we work
• Deliver user experiences that meet or beat success criteria, driving measurable results such as higher adoption, higher engagement, life time value, etc.
• Leverage and contribute to the design system, in some cases crafting everything from component level pixels to documentation for implementation and wide-spread usage
• Contribute to all scrum team ceremonies, representing design
• Provide support and feedback to design teammates to cultivate designs and culture that feel harmonious

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years' experience designing end-to-end iOS applications for iPhone and iPad; preferably coming from retail background.
• Strong 0-1 design experience; keen knack for fully defining a problem, ideating on the problem, highly collaborative problem framing process, etc.
• Strong visual design expertise, in addition to UX experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Figma and knowledge of how design systems work.
• Experience designing native iOS applications; mobile applications that have been published.
• Experience using data to inform designs and doing UX research (e.g. prototyping).
• Experience creating UX artifacts (e.g. IA, wireframes, journey maps, etc.).
• Very familiar with operating under Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
• Familiar with common accessibility guidelines.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience designing a high traffic application for internal users.
• Motion or animation experience.
