Overview

Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in scheduling using Microsoft Project to support our work with the United States Navy. This remote role requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, a proven track record of managing complex projects, and the ability to leverage MS Project for effective scheduling and collaboration. The successful candidate must hold an active Secret Clearance (or higher) and be adept at delivering results in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee projects supporting US Navy initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, integrating milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Navy personnel to align project objectives and timelines.
• Utilize MS Teams to facilitate virtual meetings, track progress, and ensure seamless communication across remote teams.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve scheduling conflicts to keep projects on track.
• Prepare and present status reports, updates, and deliverables to internal leadership and Navy clients.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and clearance requirements in all project activities.
• Drive process improvements by leveraging MS Project features and other tools to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, with a focus on scheduling and coordination.
• Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Teams for project scheduling, task management, and team collaboration.
• Active Secret Clearance (or higher) required; candidates without clearance will not be considered.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, or similar certifications preferred).
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and communication.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) clients, particularly the US Navy, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in additional project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
