Senior or Lead Software Engineer - Node.js - Next.js - Contract - Big Project - MongoDB

The Job

For this Role you need to be based in Hong Kong

This is a contract role, initially for 5 months but with high likelihood of extending.

We are looking for 1 x Senior and 1 x Lead Engineer.

As a Senior or Lead Software Engineer in this project you will work closely with a team to deliver a critical piece of work. You will be modernising a legacy application to a modern stack. Using your experience of building with Node.js and Next.js for development, you will also be giving guidance and advice on best practice for scalability and for give your input on technical decision making.

You will need to have good experience with:

• Node.js and Next.js
• Strong AWS Knowledge and hands on experience.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL Databases will be highly desirable

About You

With a strong background in Full Stack Development, you will be a seasoned engineer comfortable with large scale systems. If you have experience of modernization projects this will be a big plus but the main thing is that you know Node.js very well and also be very comfortable with AWS and ideally have some MongoDB experience (advantage not essential).

Rate

• You can expect a rate up to $40/hr (USD)
• This will be an initial 5 months but expected to run longer
• Target start date: Mid November or earlier
