About Us
Ingersoll Rand is a global industrial technology leader, delivering mission-critical products, services and digital experiences for customers across Europe and the wider EMEIA region. Within ITS CSS EMEIA, our Demand Generation & Digital Experience team drives how our brands are discovered, understood and chosen online — combining strong content, modern web technology and data-driven marketing to fuel commercial growth.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Marketing Automation Project Specialist to help us design and deliver advanced customer-journey and automation projects across multiple brands and markets.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Orchestration & Automation Enablement Manager, you will support the development and implementation of strategic marketing automation concepts and translate them into scalable, technology-enabled programs that improve personalization, automation efficiency, and campaign performance. You will be working within an international team, you will shape how our company uses marketing automation and AI to engage customers more intelligently.
This role is ideal for a mid-level professional who enjoys turning ambiguous business needs into structured, scalable solutions. You will bring new capabilities and channels from idea to usable state: building the concept, the business case and the requirements, and then working with our product and technical development teams who build them. Technology fluency matters – hands-on development does not.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex capability projects end to end – from business case and concept design through requirements, pilot, validation and rollout – making sure every solution is designed to scale across brands and markets rather than to solve a single need.
Own the concept and the requirements, not the build. Define the business logic, functional and technical requirements, and success criteria, and hand them over to the product and development teams who deliver the technical implementation.
Evaluate and pilot new capabilities and channels, assessing business value, feasibility, effort and readiness before anything is scaled, for example:
AI-driven use cases (predictive engagement, automated segmentation, content generation and optimization)
New engagement channels (SMS, WhatsApp and other conversational or emerging channels)
Dynamic content and personalization capabilities
Process and workflow automation (modular email components, automated campaign creation)
Integrations that connect the marketing automation platform with CRM, web, data and content ecosystems
Define integration and vendor requirements towards product, IT and external partners, including data flows, event tracking, preference handling and platform dependencies.
Frame consent, compliance and technical feasibility early, working with legal, data privacy and platform teams so new capabilities are compliant and viable by design (GDPR, ePrivacy, consent and preference management).
Run initiatives in an agile delivery model – translating concepts into epics and user stories, sequencing work across sprints, and managing dependencies and blockers together with product owners and delivery leads.
Prove value before scaling – design pilots with clear KPIs, validate results with the measurement and analytics teams, and recommend whether a capability should scale, evolve or stop.
Hand over to business as usual – once a capability becomes standard, document it, train and enable subject matter experts and business teams, and transfer ownership so the capability runs without you.
Stay ahead of the market on marketing automation, AI applications, channel innovation and data-privacy standards, and turn relevant trends into concrete, business-justified proposals.
How This Role Works
This is a solution design and project leadership role, not a hands-on development role. You are expected to understand technology well enough to shape it, challenge it and assess feasibility – but platform development, integrations and code are delivered by a dedicated technical and product team. Your success is measured by the capabilities you define, deliver, validate and successfully hand over, not by what you build yourself.
