NOTES FROM MANAGER:

This job is for an experienced Data Scientist / Business Intelligence professional who works at the intersection of data, AI, and business decision-making. In simple terms, this person builds dashboards and reports (mostly in Tableau) that help different teams like Sales, Finance, IT, and Security.

Must be able to see and understand their data quickly. They also develop AI and machine learning models to provide predictive insights or enhance these dashboards. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, designing visualizations, preparing and transforming large datasets, and making sure the dashboards run efficiently and securely.

• They need strong skills in SQL, Tableau, data modeling, data warehousing, and AI/ML, and they must be comfortable handling complex data from multiple sources like Snowflake, Hive, and Spark SQL.

Essentially, they translate raw data into actionable insights and predictive analytics while ensuring the underlying systems and dashboards are fast, reliable, and secure.

Job Description:

The data analytics and reporting team within IT is looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to build operational dashboards well integrated with AI capabilities and metrics reporting for a broad group of cross functional stakeholders within Sales, Accounting, Sourcing, Finance, IT and Security.

What you'll do:

· Partner with business stakeholders and technical team to design and develop efficient visualization and reporting solutions.

· Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to enhance AI capabilities.

· Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize AI models and improve performance

· Research and implement cutting-edge AI technologies and frameworks.

· Work on gathering business requirements, design and develop visualizations/reports, perform user acceptance testing with end users and deployment.

· Develop statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions to address business challenges

· Collaborate with data engineers to establish end-to-end data and information delivery architecture

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex and unstructured data

· Ensure the Tableau infrastructure conforms to security standards and that appropriate access controls are in place.

· Work on tuning and performance improvement of Tableau reports and dashboards.

· Understand different datasets and perform ETL to prepare data for efficient Tableau consumption.

What we're looking for:

· 8 - 10 years' experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization tools, techniques and technology, real time AI implementations

· Extensive knowledge of data warehouse, modelling and data mart concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.

· Experience in working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques

· Extensive experience with Tableau set of tools.

· Excellent visualization skills and be able to convey customer data in an intuitive and visually compelling way.

· Intimately familiar with best practices around data visualization.

· Strong SQL skills.

· Experience working with Snowflake, Hive, SparkSQL
