Informulate is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our tight‑knit team in a
40hrs/week contract-to-hire role. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative digital
products and cutting‑edge AI solutions in a fully remote role. If you have at least 5 years of
experience, a deep mastery of modern web technologies, and a passion for building high‑impact
software, we’d love to hear from you. The final interview will be conducted in person.
Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Gather requirements, architect, build and maintain scalable web applications from end to end, implementing front‑end interfaces and back‑end services.
- Collaborate Internally: Work closely with our internal team of engineers, designers, and product leads—no direct client interaction—to translate requirements into high‑quality solutions.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code. Enforce best practices through code reviews, unit tests, and integration testing.
- DevOps & Deployment: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Assist with DevOps tasks to ensure reliable deployments on our cloud infrastructure.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up‑to‑date with evolving technologies and frameworks. Proactively suggest optimizations to the codebase and development workflows.
- Agile Process: Participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives within our agile framework to drive project success.
Must‑Have Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional full‑stack development.
- Front‑End: Expert in React 18+ (hooks, state management, performance), TypeScript, and/or Next.js (SSR/SSG) for building robust web applications.
- PHP/Laravel: Exposure to PHP and Laravel for occasional projects.
- Back‑End: Strong proficiency with Node.js and server‑side JavaScript.
- Databases: Proven experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Firebase.
- Supabase: Hands‑on experience with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms
- JavaScript Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling, package managers, bundlers, and transpilers.
- Next.js: Server‑side rendering and static site generation.
- Vector Databases: Familiarity with Pinecone or similar for AI/semantic search use cases.
- Generative AI: LLM Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG pipelines, or agentic AI workflows.
- React Native: Expo-based mobile development.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Demonstrated ability to configure and manage CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and managing applications on DigitalOcean and AWS.
- Styling & CSS: Comfortable with modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS and Material UI.
- Best Practices: Strong understanding of software engineering principles—version control (Git), design patterns, security considerations, and code maintainability.
Work Environment & Culture
- Remote‑First (U.S.): 100% remote position; candidates must reside in the U.S. be authorized to work in the US, and be available during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
- Contract Role: 1099 contractor, part‑time or full‑time based on mutual agreement. Flexible scheduling focused on deliverables.
