As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle—from designing and developing new features to debugging and optimizing existing systems. Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of software applications using the .NET framework, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and high-quality software delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations—to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and integrate user-facing features with back-end systems.
Analyze and enhance the performance, scalability, and stability of applications by optimizing database queries, refining system architecture, and implementing effective caching strategies.
Mentor and support junior engineers by offering technical guidance, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through thoughtful system design and process improvements.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of business rules implemented within applications, working closely with stakeholders to gain approvals and align solutions with business goals.
Contribute to metrics-driven development by monitoring and improving performance indicators such as cost per unit and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proficient in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and WebAPI, with a solid foundation in object-oriented programming and web application architecture.
Strong experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries by hand and designing relational databases.
Proven ability to refactor, modernize, and optimize legacy codebases, transforming them into scalable and maintainable systems, with an eye toward adopting newer technologies when appropriate.
Solid understanding of RESTful services and best practices in API design and integration.
Experience in data pipeline engineering, database design, web platform development, API development, or distributed systems.
Web development expertise using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, including experience writing JavaScript outside of single-page frameworks like Angular, React, or Ember.
Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in at least one of the following areas:
Performance optimization of .NET applications, with a deep understanding of the .NET framework internals.
Expert-level SQL Server performance tuning.
Deep domain expertise in a specific technology or area that supports InformData’s background investigation services.
Significant user experience (UX) design capabilities beyond standard Top of Formweb/UI development.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with ASP.NET Core for building modern, scalable web applications
Familiarity with ASP.NET Web Forms, particularly in the context of migrating to MVC
Exposure to AWS services such as ECS, SQS, SES, S3, Lambda, and others
Experience working with Docker for containerization and deployment
Knowledge of mobile application development platforms and practices
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Working knowledge of React for front-end development

Working Conditions

This position requires the incumbent to work indoors at a desk for extended periods of time and use of workstation.
The person must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions in a fast-paced, team environment.
This position may be requested to work overtime on occasion to meet company objectives
