Job Description:
As a Senior Data Scientist (Optimization) at InfoNet, you will design and implement mathematical optimization models to solve challenging business problems across logistics, supply chain, operations, and resource allocation domains. You will use MILP and other mathematical programming techniques to build and deploy optimization solutions using Python-based frameworks. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong mathematical modeling, coding, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimization Modeling: Develop and implement mathematical optimization models (linear, integer, and mixed-integer programming) to solve real-world business problems.
- Tool Implementation: Build optimization solutions using Python libraries such as GurobiPy, Pyomo, and PuLP.
- Problem Formulation: Translate business objectives and constraints into mathematical models that can be solved efficiently.
- Data Integration: Work with structured and unstructured data, integrating data sources into optimization pipelines.
- Performance Tuning: Improve model efficiency, scalability, and solver performance for large-scale optimization problems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science or optimization-focused roles.
- Optimization Expertise: Deep understanding of linear programming (LP), mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), and related optimization techniques.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and optimization libraries such as GurobiPy, Pyomo, and PuLP.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and numerical methods.
