Senior Software Engineer (Java, React)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build features for the next generation of enterprise level SaaS software. You will be a key member of a development team building applications in the freight logistics domain. You will design and implement system components, effectively manage priorities, and communicate progress. You have experience in an agile environment, being well-versed in agile and lean principles, and experienced at the delivery of value.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Be an influencer in our developer community, co-evolving our culture and architecture, enabling us to scale both the product and the teams in a safe and meaningful manner.
• Advocate and advance modern software development practices and help develop and promote great engineering and organizational practices.
• Work with people in other parts of the organization to promote improvements, goals, and roadmaps.
• Work hands-on to demonstrate techniques and model good practice, and to remain grounded in the problems faced by team members, in building and shipping high-quality code at a sustainable pace.
• Work with engineers, product owners, and designers.
• Contribute to the growth of our development capability.
• Own and improve the internal quality of our system.
• Craft fast-running, automated tests to verify your work and that of your team.

• You have 5+ years of experience working hands-on as a Software Engineer in an agile environment, being well-versed in agile and lean principles, and experienced at the continuous delivery of value.

• You create technical options, especially in code and system interactions.
• You actively invest in your technical skills.
• You can mentor your peers, contributing to a learning culture that can create high-quality software at a sustainable pace.

Required Experience

• Expertise in object-oriented Java development
• Proficiency in React development
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with evolutionary design
• Proficiency working in a CI/CD environment
• Ability to isolate and address performance problems
• B2 English fluency

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of Spring application development
• Proficiency in team leadership
• Experience with Extreme Programming practices and principles
• Working knowledge of cloud architecture and 12-factor applications
• Understanding of continuous improvement
• Experience leveraging AI to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality
