Appium Developer

Position Title: Appium Developer

Position Location: Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Birmingham AL, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ

Ability to work remote: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote

Days of the week: Mon-Fri 40 hours

Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5pm EST core hours (some weekend work here and there but very minimal)

Duration: 6 Months to Hire

Contract to hire W2

Function of the Group: Combination of mitigates risk, generate revenue and reduce costs.

Initiatives/Projects: This team supports the testing organization at the bank, Providing tools to do their testing, tools for mobile tests, client banking app (no development).

Industry background: Open to all backgrounds but financial/banking is a plus

Team Dynamic:

• Software engineers - mostly developers
• Lower end of experience (less than 10 years of experience), this team leans towards lesser year of experience
• 6 individuals
• Team inclusion is big on this team - lots of teamwork for assignments, individual needs to be able to work with others

Roles and Responsibilities:

• This individual will bring in level test platforms and frameworks and methods and bring ideas to the table and have client consider.
• Contributing to the development of new features, bug fixes, contribute to support.
• Hoping to get someone who has more mobile testing and framework experience to help provide best tools for testing and take the current toolset to the next level.
• Experience with tools and testing them is important.
• Contributing to the testing of tools for mobile banking tests.
• Successful candidates will be able to answer questions in depth about Appium and using Appium and mobile applications. Someone who has demonstrated that they have worked on a team before, they usually find that individuals fly solo and not very collaborative and for this role, the individual needs to have former collaborative type of work and not so much on the solo side of business.

Appium, Selenium, mobile, API, Python are key skills.

Must Have Technical Skills:

• Agile Software development cycle
• Product Ownership
• Mobile Testing
• Software Development
• Appium experience and vendor platforms like SauceLabs - Appium is more important
• Python
• Excellent Leadership skills
• Ability to work in a team, collaboratively

Education/Certifications:

• Experience in lieu of education but Bachelors in a related field such as Computer Science is a plus
• Software testing certifications or test platforms certifications are a plus
• ISTQB Certification is a plus

Interview Process:

• 1st Round - 30 mins - 2 people including HM - high level (talk about resume, specifics on resume, screening)
• 2nd Round - 1 HR - 3 people including Product Owner (more technical specific interview)
