Our mission is to provide independent developers with the resources, services, and management tools needed for success. Through collaboration and passion, we strive to cultivate a diverse and vibrant gaming landscape that resonates with players and creators alike!

About the role

In this newly created role, the Head of Marketing will lead our game marketing function, overseeing two Marketing Managers and a Storefronts Manager, while driving the overall marketing strategy for our expanding catalog. This person will balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach by directly overseeing a select portfolio of games.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can scale marketing processes, coach high-performing teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure campaigns achieve measurable results. This is a fully remote position within the United States, reporting to the Marketing Director.

What you'll do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and mentor two marketing managers, providing clear guidance, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Build scalable marketing processes and playbooks to efficiently manage a 200+ game portfolio.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and data-driven culture within the marketing team.

Strategy & Execution

  • Define and refine the marketing vision and strategy for our catalog, ensuring campaigns are impactful, measurable, and aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee campaign planning, budgeting, and execution across verticals: paid media, influencer/creator marketing, PR, events, and community.
  • Directly manage a small portfolio of priority titles, leading campaign strategy from pre-launch through post-release.
  • Align marketing priorities with business development initiatives and partnership opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Developer Operations (DevOps), Product, and Creative teams to ensure seamless launch planning and live-service support.
  • Serve as senior marketing liaison to external developers, ensuring campaigns support their creative vision and commercial success.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own marketing performance reporting, including ROI, ROAS, conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Use data insights to continuously refine campaign strategies and inform resource allocation.
  • Present campaign results, recommendations, and forecasts to leadership.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of marketing / product management experience, ideally in video games, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns across Steam, console, and/or mobile.
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring skills, with experience scaling marketing operations.
  • Solid understanding of paid media, influencer/creator marketing, PR, event marketing, and community strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee a high volume of simultaneous campaigns.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in interpreting marketing analytics and applying insights.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across BizDev, Product, Creative, and DevOps.
  • Passion for indie games and supporting small or solo developers.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Existing network of creators, press, and platform partners.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and dashboards.

The pay range for this role is:

$75,000 - $90,000 USD per year (Remote)
