Position: Remote UX/UI Web Designer
Contract: B2B - full-time
Location: Remote
INCORE is looking to hire a UX/UI Designer.
We’re a boutique digital agency serving U.S. clients across healthcare, education, manufacturing, and more. Clients rely on us to grow their online presence through web design, hosting, and digital marketing. You’ll shape the digital experience for multiple brands, working closely with strategy, PM, and engineering to deliver thoughtful, accessible, high‑performing work.
- Impact: Own UX/UI for multiple client sites and apps—from discovery and wireframes to polished UI and dev handoff. Your work will be visible and measurable (conversion lifts, task success, engagement).
- Environment: Remote‑first, collaborative, and pragmatic. We value craft, clear communication, and shipping on time.
- Tooling: Figma (variables/tokens, components, dev mode), ClickUp for project tracking, Google Workspace/Slack for collaboration, and AI tools to accelerate ideation and production—used responsibly and aligned with brand/UX quality.
- Schedule: Remote availability between 8 AM – 4 PM Eastern Time (GMT -4) with core collaboration hours 9 AM – 3 PM Eastern (GMT‑4); flexibility on the rest.
Success looks like:
- Clear problem framing, thoughtful user flows, and clean files that developers love.
- Consistent contributions to our shared design system and pattern library.
- Lightweight research and usability checks feeding continuous iteration.
- Predictable delivery: accurate estimates, proactive risk flags, and on‑time milestones.
To do well here, you:
- Have a strong sense of ownership over projects and deadlines.
- Sweat the details without losing the big picture.
- Can move from high‑level strategy to pixel‑level precision.
- Are self‑driven and love learning.
- Communicate simply, directly, and kindly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UX/UI experience (agency or product environments preferred), with a portfolio of shipped work.
- Expert in Figma: auto‑layout, components, variables/tokens, library management, prototyping, and design systems; strong file hygiene.
- UX fundamentals: user flows, IA, wireframing, prototyping, responsive/mobile‑first design, and the 8‑pt grid; strong grasp of color, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Research & testing: ability to plan/run quick studies or usability checks and translate insights into design improvements.
- Accessibility: working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 principles and inclusive design patterns.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: clear written/verbal communication; ability to present rationale and trade‑offs to stakeholders.
- Technical fluency: understanding of front‑end fundamentals (HTML/CSS, component‑based UI) to partner effectively with developers.
- AI literacy: familiarity with AI‑assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, ChatGPT, Midjourney/Uizard) to speed exploration and production responsibly.
- Autonomy: able to plan, prioritize, and execute with minimal supervision.
- English proficiency: advanced written and spoken communication skills; able to present design decisions clearly and collaborate with U.S.-based clients and teammates.
- Availability: able to work between 8 AM – 4 PM ET (GMT-4) with core collaboration hours 9 AM–3 PM Eastern (GMT‑4); flexibility outside of that window.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and/or motion/interaction chops (micro‑interactions, Lottie).
- Experience with Rive.app for interactive animations and micro‑interactions.
- Experience building or maintaining design systems in production environments.
- Familiarity with analytics/A‑B testing to support data‑informed design decisions.
- Prior digital‑agency experience.
Responsibilities
- Design end‑to‑end UX/UI for responsive websites and web apps (mobile‑first + desktop), delivering flows, wireframes, high‑fidelity UI, and clickable prototypes in Figma.
- Build and evolve design systems (variables/tokens, components, interaction patterns) with usage guidelines and documentation.
- Create campaign assets (landing pages, emails, banners) that support digital marketing objectives and brand standards.
- Validate with users/stakeholders: plan and run lightweight research or usability tests; synthesize findings into clear recommendations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with strategy, PM, developers, and marketers to scope, estimate, and deliver.
- Prepare production‑ready handoffs in Figma (Dev Mode specs, annotations, redlines) and support QA/UAT to ensure pixel‑perfect, accessible outcomes.
- Leverage AI tools thoughtfully for ideation, variations, content drafts, and asset generation—while ensuring outputs meet brand, accessibility, and UX quality bars.
- Manage time and priorities across multiple concurrent projects; provide estimates, track progress, and hit deadlines.
- Maintain organized files with clear naming/versioning; keep a tidy shared archive.
- Champion accessibility and quality: design to WCAG 2.2 AA where practical; consider performance, states, and edge cases.
- Contribute to exploratory testing & quality assurance: assist in catching design-related issues early and support QA efforts to ensure smooth user experiences.
