Key Responsibilities:

Use statistical modeling, machine learning, and numerical optimization to discover and explain patterns in data.
Create features and develop models beyond standard toolset libraries to meet unique business challenges.
Interpret and communicate findings and insights from the data to business partners
Define data needs and evaluate data quality for applicability to posed problems
Execute projects from design through implementation and final delivery to internal business partners

Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

Master of Science Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field required. PhD degree desired.
3-5 years professional experience with predictive statistical models or numerical optimization, and working with typical data used in such analyses
Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, R, Scala)
Ability to derive insights or novel ideas from data and mathematical models using a hypothesis driven framework. Connect insights to desired research or business outcomes.
