Contract Senior Software Engineer – Cyber Risk Platform (Outside IR35)

3-6 month initial term | Remote (UK) | Start ASAP

A venture-backed cyber start-up is rebuilding its flagship platform a SSO tool integrating other solutions with the scope to integrate their own AI driven analytics tools.

The mission – next six months

• Ship an MVP: implement secure single sign-on between two third-party products to create the initial gateway.
• Design the data layer: map APIs so risk and compliance metrics flow into a unified dashboard.
• Prototype an LLM: lay foundations for a custom model that can rank and interpret risk data.

You’ll steer technical choices, write production code, and set the standards the future team will follow

What you’ll bring

• Senior-level .NET engineering with AWS back-end skills.
• Track record in “zero-to-one” SaaS builds—ideally as a founding engineer.
• Comfortable owning architecture, delivery, and CI/CD solo before scaling a team.
• Fluency with modern API design and GitHub workflows.
• Curiosity for AI tooling and the pragmatism to use it to ship faster.

Nice to have: experience embedding LLMs or rules engines into compliance tools.
