Summary
Join team as a Product Designer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for a fast-growing, high-impact product. You’ll support efforts to drive retention and growth for Threads by designing and iterating on content recommendation features that encourage new user acquisition and keep existing users engaged. With a focus on a small, agile scope, you’ll work on 1:1 feed units, improving preview experiences, and making incremental changes to ensure seamless integration within the broader ecosystem. As a Product Designer, you’ll be involved in many aspects of the product development process, from ideation to launch, utilizing your full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills.
Job Responsibilities
Design flows and experiences that are simple, elegant, and user-centric.
Transform broad, conceptual ideas into valuable, actionable product features.
Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive teams.
Solicit and provide feedback to continually raise the bar for design quality.
Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience from conception to launch.
Iterate on 1:1 feed units, enhancing preview experiences and ensuring incremental changes fit within the product vision.
Support retention and growth initiatives by designing features that drive user engagement and app installs.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Front-end programming experience is a plus.
Demonstrated experience building and shipping applications or software.
Portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work.
End-to-end product design experience (hybrid UX and UI).
