Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer

SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant to IMC CEO Scott has two overall objectives: to maximize executive efficiency and to ensure seamless operation while being a trusted advisor and gatekeeper. Success is aggressively and proactively achieving both.

The role works closely with CEO Scott Ihrig, his husband and co-leader Shannon Morrison, and their executive leadership team. In addition to IMC, Scott and Shanon also lead Drama Club - a musical theatre development, investment, production, and writer residency company. (www.drama.club). This role will support this business as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

• Effectively manage Scott’s calendar & scheduling, making smart judgment calls when needed and keeping things running smoothly by managing the expectations of those who need his time.
• Manage Scott’s email correspondence by proactively triaging his inboxes—prioritizing urgent messages, responding on his behalf when appropriate, and archiving or flagging others to maintain focus and efficiency.
• Conduct research and create materials, presentations, and talking points to prepare Scott for meetings and speaking engagements.
• Track and book Scott’s travel.
• Process expense reports.
• Maintain Scott’s contacts across multiple platforms (MacOS, ZOHO, Airtable, Google).
• Facilitate effective follow-up with potential clients and collaborators.
• Make medical appointments as necessary and track prescription status.
• Lead special projects as they arise (client events, show development workshops).
• Assist with personal social media postings across all businesses.
• Based on Scott's priorities and work style, proactively anticipate his support his needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in events, theatre, administration, or as an executive assistant
• Razor-sharp communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong presentation/deck design skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Discretion
• Comfortable within a MacOS environment
• Proficiency with Asana and the Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of corporate events
• Knowledge of musical theatre
• Love for dogs

COMPENSATION

• $60-70K annually
