Role Summary
The Growth Product Manager will be the first dedicated growth hire, responsible for creating and driving a systematic, data-led approach to funnel optimization. This person will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and the existing Growth teams (Sales and Marketing) to accelerate user acquisition, activation, and retention.
This is a full-time remote/hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement strategies that optimize acquisition funnels, increase activation rates, and drive revenue growth.
- Own the experimentation and growth process, establishing an experiment backlog and regularly running A/B tests, analyzing results, and iterating quickly.
- Oversee the onboarding experience, ensuring users quickly realize value and progress seamlessly through the funnel.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design to standardize data instrumentation, leveraging tools like Mixpanel, LaunchDarkly, and Looker for insights and feature testing.
- Develop engagement strategies across email, SMS, push, and in-app channels, using ESPs such as SendGrid, Braze, or Iterable to improve activation and retention.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to align growth objectives, maintain consistent messaging, and deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Translate customer feedback and behavioral data into new opportunities, advocating for product improvements that address user needs.
- Present findings, experiment results, and growth recommendations to stakeholders, driving alignment and transparency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of growth product management or similar experience in a consumer software or SaaS environment.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable user acquisition and retention results through structured experimentation and funnel optimization.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (SQL, Mixpanel, Looker) and a solid understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with feature flagging (LaunchDarkly) and ESPs (SendGrid, Braze, Iterable) for rapid iteration and engagement campaigns.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated autonomy in driving growth initiatives, coupled with a willingness to partner with internal teams for maximum impact.
- A “growth hacker” mindset, characterized by creativity, resourcefulness, and a relentless focus on improvement.
