Position: Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer (Remote)

Ignis Health is seeking a highly driven Mid-Level Software Engineer with solid hands-on experience in Django and Python to join our fast-paced engineering team. The ideal candidate should be skilled at using AI tools to boost development productivity, write clean, testable code, and solve complex problems with speed and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain robust backend features using Django and Python.

Rapidly generate, test, and iterate on code using AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Windsurf, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate development cycles.

Write efficient and maintainable code that follows best practices and clean architecture principles.

Build, consume, and optimize RESTful APIs.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on tight timelines.

Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Pytest or other frameworks.

Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization tasks.

Communicate effectively and contribute ideas to enhance team productivity and system design.

Requirements:

3–4 years of experience in Python development with strong Django expertise.

Proven track record of leveraging AI tools to enhance development speed and code quality.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, scalable code.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
