Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW: MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Engage in all stages from requirement analysis to software implementation activities for automotive display system and infotainment products features.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, S/W design review, S/W implementation and design test case scenarios, following Mobis internal V-model.
  • Report compliance with OEM ASPICE, Cybersecurity process from development to production.
  • Participate in vehicle build events with on-site support at customer locations.
  • Creation of software requirements, design documents, and system test plans.
  • Define test cases and conduct engineering level and product level testing.
  • Works with the customer to further define requirements and to resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering team and customers.

Additional Required Skills/ Requirments

  • Minimum of 4 years of software development experience with C language in a real-time, multi-threaded OS environment.
  • Strong hands-on skills on Software development and debugging.
  • Familiarity with software CI/CD.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer facing skills.

Prefered Experience/ Skills

  • Experience ARM based SoC or microprocessor embedded system programing.
  • Experience in AUTOSAR platform (Vector or ETAS) on ARM based SoC for North American OEMs.
  • Experience with automotive cybersecurity (HSM) concepts, processes, and methods.
  • Experience and understanding of basics display interface (MIPI, DP, HDMI, LVDS etc).
  • Experience in understanding of Functional Safety methodologies and challenges.
  • Experience with SDV vehicle architecture is a plus.

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.)

Education/Certification/Years Of Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant, professional experience required.
  • Required BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering with supporting S/W development history.
  • Preferred MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.

Physical Demands

Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.

Expected Hours Of Work

  • A typical work week is 45 hours/week.
  • Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am- 9am M-F.

Work Environment

  • Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
  • Stress may occur periodically.
