We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Marketing Specialist to join our client's LATAM regional marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and can take ownership of event marketing and localized social media efforts. You will be key in managing promotional vendors, planning expos, and building brand presence through creative, culturally relevant campaigns.
Our client is a global company in the CFD trading industry now expanding its marketing team to target events and expos in the LATAM region.
Key Responsibilities
Event Marketing & Expo Management
Vendor Sourcing, Branding Compliance & Payment Coordination
- Source and manage local vendors for promotional items relevant to each event or expo.
- Ensure all items meet branding guidelines for color, logo placement, and quality.
- Manage payment processing for selected vendors: collect quotations and invoices, seek internal approval from the finance team, and follow up to ensure timely payment.
- Oversee production and delivery timelines to meet event deadlines.
Expo Theme Development & Campaign Planning
- Develop or adapt themes for each LATAM expo that align with global branding but resonate with the local market.
- Propose creative direction for social media teaser campaigns and booth reveal posts based on the theme.
- Coordinate with the design and content team to ensure alignment in visuals and messaging across all channels.
Pre-Event Planning
- Coordinate booth construction: confirm layout, design, lighting, and graphics are implemented as approved.
- Arrange promotional item delivery and coordinate with the organizer for storage.
- Conduct internal briefings for sales team, photographers, and other freelancers.
On-Site Execution and Post-Event Wrap-Up
- Oversee booth readiness: ensure cleanliness, safety, correct signage, and proper video displays.
- Manage giveaway distribution, booth upkeep, and sales support during the event.
- Brief and manage photographers/videographers to capture required content.
- Ensure participation in speaker panels, interviews, or award ceremonies and manage conflicting schedules.
- Organize all media files and submit an internal content report.
- Provide a summary of event performance, team feedback, and improvement suggestions for future expos.
- Ensure proper packing and return of branded materials, including the mascot suit.
Social Media Management
- Plan and manage localized content calendars across LATAM platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Collaborate on teaser and reveal posts before expos or campaigns to build anticipation.
- Create or adapt content for LATAM audiences while staying on-brand with global tone and voice.
- Coordinate with designers and video editors for engaging content formats (Reels, Stories, carousels, etc.).
- Respond to community interactions and monitor post-performance.
- Track KPIs and provide recommendations for social media optimization.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Business or related fields highly preferred but equivalent experience accepted.
- 2–4 years of experience in event marketing, social media, or brand activations (LATAM region experience required).
- Experience in finance, fintech, or tech-related industries is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish, and proficient in English.
- Proven experience sourcing promotional vendors and managing the approval/payment process through a finance team.
- Strong project management and event coordination skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize expo themes and campaign ideas.
- Comfortable working with photographers, media teams, and booth contractors.
- Available to travel across LATAM for expos and events.
