Software Engineer

Salary: £126,650 - £171,350 annual

A leading global aerospace and defence company is looking for a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will join the Infrared Management Aid team to develop innovative mission planning software within a multi-program environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work on all phases of the software development life cycle including design, algorithms, development, and testing.
• Develop mission planning software applications for embedded and simulated environments.
• Communicate with leads and internal customers during all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Lead junior engineers in software development and perform use case development for software requirements.
• Manage several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineers.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience programming in C++ and multi-threaded development.
• Strong background in Agile software development processes.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead junior engineering team members.
• Experience with modern software development tools such as Git, Visual Studio, and Jira.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain necessary security clearances.
