Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 annual

An innovative organisation in the aviation and military software space is looking for a Software Engineer. You will join a team of expert engineers working on well-established messaging products deployed in critical environments, ensuring compatibility across multiple protocols and legacy systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Adding new features and extending capabilities in response to new standards and client requirements.
• Debugging client-reported issues and improving the codebase and product delivery over time.
• Working with servers, gateways, and protocol bridges to enhance system functionality.
• Elevating security capabilities and improving system delivery and maintenance of products.
• Collaborating with the wider team to enhance products and contribute to the adoption of newer programming languages.

What We're Looking For

• Solid commercial software development experience using C++.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and debug problems within large codebases.
• Experience with networking protocols and standards-based protocol implementation.
• Knowledge of security policy technologies such as PKI and TLS is highly desirable.
• Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom with the ability to work autonomously.
