Senior Software Engineer, AI Development Platforms

A fast-growing developer infrastructure company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered software development tooling. This individual will play a key role in developing systems that enable AI agents to operate effectively within real-world engineering environments.

This is a highly visible engineering position offering the opportunity to shape emerging agent-based developer experiences while working across backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern web technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design and build production-grade backend services primarily using Go.
• Develop and enhance systems that support AI-assisted and autonomous software development workflows.
• Improve agent orchestration, tool execution, context management, streaming interactions, and long-running processes.
• Build integrations between AI systems, development environments, infrastructure platforms, and engineering tools.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver impactful features.
• Own projects from design through deployment and iteration.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and operational efficiency.

Ideal Background

• Strong experience designing and operating production software systems.
• Hands-on development experience with Go.
• Experience building frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Exposure to AI, LLM-powered applications, agent frameworks, or autonomous workflows.
• Experience integrating with APIs and designing distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud environments and production infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS and containerized environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• AI coding assistants or developer tooling.
• Multi-agent systems and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Secure execution environments, sandboxing, or remote compute.
• Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Open-source contributions.
• Customer-facing engineering experience.
