Main Missions
The Global Product Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the biosecurity product range for livestock farming. He/She ensures product growth and competitiveness by collaborating with local marketing teams, international product managers and R&D, sales, and technical departments.
Responsibilities & Activities
1. Product Range Development & Management
- Develop and lead the global marketing strategy for the biosecurity product range (detergents, water treatment, disinfectants, insecticides...)
- Analyse the global livestock market (pigs, poultry, ruminants) to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Manage the product lifecycle: launch, evolution, repositioning.
- Conduct competitive and regulatory monitoring.
- Support subsidiaries and key partners in implementing development strategies and marketing plans.
2. Defining and Implementing Action Plans for Key International Accounts
- Design specific action and development plans for major international accounts in the animal health and livestock sectors.
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure the local implementation of these strategies.
3. Sales development support for a specific area
To stay connected to field needs, the Global Product Manager will support our sales development in a group of countries.
- Monitor and optimize the execution of development plans in each assigned country, adjusting actions based on results and market feedback.
- Support sales teams in managing key accounts and implementing defined strategies.
- Limited number of countries, typically 2 or 3 European countries.
4. Collaboration with Other International Product Managers
- Work in synergy with other product managers to ensure consistency across product ranges.
- Participate in international meetings to share best practices and develop cross-range synergies.
- Contribute to coordinating global communication and innovation initiatives.
5. Liaison with R&D and Innovation
- Collaborate with the R&D department to develop and enhance formulations based on market needs.
- Participate in testing and validation of new products in collaboration with technical teams.
- Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure product compliance in different markets.
Required Skills & Profile
Technical Skills
- Extensive expertise in the European livestock market (pigs, poultry, ruminants) and preferably biosecurity challenges.
- Experience in product portfolio management and marketing strategy within the animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of key account needs in the livestock and animal health sectors.
- Proficiency in project management and international commercial and marketing strategy deployment.
Cross-functional Skills
- Strong leadership and ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
- Solid project management and marketing data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to unite multicultural teams.
Profile
- Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Marketing, Business, Agronomy, Veterinary Science, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in strategic and operational marketing, ideally in biosecurity, or in animal health industry.
- Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Mobility: Frequent international travel (30 – 40% time)
