Huntington Study Group (HSG) Overview

The Huntington Study Group (HSG), a not-for-profit global organization, together with its wholly owned subsidiary, HSG Clinical Research, Inc., is a proven world leader in facilitating high-quality clinical research trials and studies in Huntington disease (HD), a rare neurodegenerative disease. HSG Clinical Research, Inc. is a full-service clinical research organization (“CRO”) dedicated to accelerating treatments for Huntington’s disease and other diseases that serve our strategic focus. We are a dynamic, growing, diverse organization involved in clinical trial operations, research advisory services and education programs focused on Huntington’s disease.

We have the first and largest HD clinical research network of over 800 active and compassionate investigators, coordinators, scientists and HD experts at over 130 HSG Credentialed Research Sites globally dedicated to accelerating treatments that make a difference and improving the quality of life and outcomes for individuals and families affected by HD. In addition to this vast clinical network, we collaborate with industry, government and foundation sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and HD advocacy and community partners.

Vice President, Marketing & Communication

Position Summary

The Vice President, Marketing & Communications is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and leading the global marketing, communications, and branding strategy across the organization. This role drives external visibility, brand differentiation, stakeholder engagement, and business growth by overseeing integrated marketing functions, including corporate messaging, public relations, digital channels, events, and executive visibility.

Serving as a strategic partner to the C-suite, the VP brings industry foresight, creative energy, and operational discipline to position the organization. The role demands strong cross-functional collaboration, leadership credibility, and a deep understanding of biopharma services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership

· Define and execute a comprehensive global marketing and brand strategy that supports the company's business objectives and positions it competitively in the market.

· Ensure consistent, compelling messaging across channels and stakeholders—including clients, prospects, media, investors, and employees.

· Lead brand governance and evolution efforts, including visual identity, tone, and global brand architecture.

· Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor positioning to inform strategic direction and value proposition refinement.

Executive & Corporate Communication

· Serve as strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team for internal and external communications.

· Elevate the executive profile through thought leadership, industry visibility, awards, media engagement, and speaking platforms.

· Oversee development and distribution of key corporate communications including press releases, leadership messaging, crisis responses, and corporate milestones.

· Lead issues and reputation management strategy, aligning with legal, regulatory, and scientific affairs as needed.

Digital & External Engagement

· Oversee digital marketing, social media, and web strategy to amplify reach, drive engagement, and support lead generation.

· Direct conference, event, and congress presence to ensure strategic alignment and brand impact.

· Build relationships with media, analysts, and influencers to shape a positive narrative about the company’s capabilities and mission.

Marketing Operations & Analytics

· Establish KPIs to measure marketing performance and impact; report outcomes and insights to leadership.

· Manage marketing technology stack, vendor relationships, and agency partnerships to optimize reach and efficiency.

· Lead content strategy and development across owned and earned media, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance.

· Develop and manage annual marketing budget aligned to business goals and priorities.

Team Development & Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead and grow a high-performing global marketing and communications team. Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, HR, Scientific, and Clinical teams to align messaging and initiatives.

Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and results orientation across the function.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

15+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in a global biopharma or CRO organization.

Proven success in building and leading integrated marketing teams and strategies across regions.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific and operational information into compelling narratives.

Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and ability to influence at all levels.

Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; executive presence.· Experience managing corporate reputation, digital platforms, and cross-channel campaigns.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 20% globally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
