Freelance Web Designer

As a Web Designer at Hubgets, you need to have an eye for art & detail and be a natural in making things beautifully simple.

We’re especially interested in seeing portfolios that include modern, responsive websites for tech, SaaS, or product-based companies.

Responsibilities

• Create images and layouts for software apps, websites, social media, and digital advertisement
• Design print and online assets like banner ads, brochures, flyers, posters, trade show banners, newsletters
• Develop unique and representative icons for use within software apps or for digital and print marketing materials
• Design or update company logos and develop branding guidelines to ensure consistency across all media.
• Craft visually appealing presentation templates or complete presentations for company use, especially for sales and marketing pitches
• Regularly update and refresh existing marketing materials to keep the brand look consistent and updated
• Create or source graphics and images to enhance the visual appeal of the websites, ensuring they are optimized to web use, balancing quality and file size for optimal performance
• Organize digital files and ensure all design assets are accessible and archived properly
• Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to brainstorm and define design briefs
• Modify designs based on internal and external feedback.

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in graphic design
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
• In-depth knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and branding to create aesthetically pleasing and effective designs
• Ability to design clear, communicative graphic assets such as icons, illustrations, logos, infographics and maintain visual consistency
• Understand the requirements for designing both digital and physical marketing materials, such as online ads, brochures, and promotional displays
• Familiarity with web design principles, responsive design, and user experience (UX) design is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in animation and 3D modeling software (such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, or Autodesk Maya) is considered a plus.

• Capable of thinking creatively to overcome design challenges and provide innovative solutions that enhance marketing efforts
• Precision in creating, editing, and finalizing designs, ensuring high quality and error-free outputs.
• Willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new tools and design trends
• Knowledge of how design impacts marketing and branding, and the ability to create designs that align with marketing strategies and goals

Collaboration and Soft Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey design concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with other team members, such as marketers, content creators, and developers, to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to projects
• Open to receive and constructively use feedback to improve designs and personal skills
