HotTakes is a free-to-play, play-to-earn fantasy sports platform where users can win real cash through exciting sports prediction games—all at no cost. We combine intuitive design, rewarding gameplay, and seamless sports data integration to deliver exceptional user experiences. Who We’re Looking For:

• A friendly mindset and positive attitude.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 2+ years in mobile or web development.
• 2+ years in backend and API service development.
• A solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud technologies.
• The ability to self-organize and make informed decisions independently.
• Residency in Canada (Ontario or BC preferred) and eligibility to work without sponsorship.

Our Tech Stack:

We currently use TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Flutter, Firebase, Redis, and GCP. You can expect our stack to remain stable but we do not exclude making changes as our needs evolve. Expertise in these is a big plus, but strong problem-solving skills, reasoning, and a passion for clean, high-quality code matter more.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 CAD (commensurate with experience).
