As a Data Scientist in the ConcreteDirect Data Team, you will play an important role in developing advanced machine learning and AI models to tackle business challenges and drive strategic decision-making. In addition to your modelling efforts, you will create, automate, and maintain KPI reports, delivering timely and accurate performance metrics to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and validating data from diverse sources to ensure its accuracy and readiness for analysis. Moreover, you will conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover business insights, identify opportunities, and inform business with strategic decisions. Your contributions will drive and accelerate data-driven decision-making across the organization, empowering teams to make informed and impactful choices.
What you will do?
- Collects, preprocesses, and validates data from diverse sources such as SQL databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms like AWS to ensure data integrity and completeness.
- Conducts exploratory data analysis (EDA) and automates KPI reporting using tools like Python, Pandas, and SQL, while developing interactive dashboards in tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Designs, trains, and maintains machine learning models for supply chain optimization using frameworks like Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or TensorFlow, and supports model evaluation and production deployment.
- Builds and monitors data pipelines and workflows on AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SageMaker, integrating testing scripts to assess performance metrics like latency and data quality.
- Collaborates with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, ensuring thorough documentation of data pipelines, modeling processes, and analytical insights using tools like Confluence or Git.
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib) and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning model development.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised learning and clustering techniques.
- Experienced with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiar with data processing and deployment tools.
- Skilled in building dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or QlikSense.
- Familiar with CI/CD practices for automating and maintaining data workflows.
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and effectively communicates technical insights to diverse audiences.
