SOFTWARE ENGINEER (PYTHON/AWS MIGRATION)

Role

We are seeking two mid-level Software Engineers with strong Python skills to support a 3–6 month migration project. You will collaborate with an internal team member to modernize and migrate an existing platform to AWS. This work will focus primarily on code conversions, architectural changes, and preparing the system for future development.

What You’ll Do

• Convert legacy SAS code into Python, ensuring accuracy and reliability
• Write clean, object-oriented Python code (Java experience is a plus)
• Support DevOps tasks and assist in migration of applications to AWS
• Participate in architectural improvements and platform modernization
• Troubleshoot issues independently and propose practical solutions
• Collaborate with the team to meet tight, time-sensitive project deadlines

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud migration practices
• Ability to understand and translate SAS code into Python is highly desired
• DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control
• Java knowledge is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
