Summary:
The Senior Marketing Business Analyst role supports business operations by analyzing requirements, identifying problems, opportunities, and solutions for the organization. The Senior Marketing Business Analyst reports directly to the VP, Campaign Management and Marketing Analytics. The core responsibility of the Senior Marketing Business Analyst will be to build, validate and deliver Freedom's direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns. Developing a thorough understanding of current business processes and data as they relate to marketing and the mortgage industry will be a critical success factor in this role.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret business requirements and convert to SAS/SQL to extract, manipulate, and map key data elements into final production campaign files.
- Learn existing processes from both a technical and business perspective and recommend improvements.
- Build scheduled and un-scheduled (ad hoc) direct marketing campaigns.
- Follow all documentation and verbal guidelines regarding campaign processing and file delivery.
- Clear & Consistent communication with internal customers/partners for expected timelines for deliverables.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications:

- Must be able to deliver within a fast paced, high-pressure environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Experience with marketing analytics and database
- Proven skills in extracting and manipulating large amounts of data efficiently
- Proficiency in initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with the business community
- Experience in any Relational Database Management System (e.g. – Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and advanced SQL, including complex query writing
- Knowledge of SAS, Snowflake or Oracle (or similar) relational databases
- Strong Analytical thinking and ability to analyze large data sets
- Mortgage knowledge a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for data analysis and reporting
- Must be flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, projects and timelines.
- Attention to details, ability to QC your own work
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Computer Science or related analytical fields
- Working knowledge of SAS, SQL or similar software – Four (4) to six (6) years of experience.
- 5+ years of Marketing Analytics or similar practical experience in financial services industry – preferably mortgage, credit card or personal/business loans
