Senior Front End Software Engineer

Who are we?

We are an AI startup building tax and finance planning assistant to transform the way tax and financial planners serve their clients. We launched products and currently have gained traction. Our products are current in Beta and we need a rock star UI/Front End Software Engineer to help us build and iterate fast!

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Frontend Engineer to become a key player in our innovative team. If you have a strong foundation in Vue.js, a flair for crafting responsive, real-time user interfaces, and a passion for transforming Figma designs into pixel-perfect web applications, we want you. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing our web platforms, ensuring they are responsive, efficient, and in line with our ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities

·       UI Development: Translate Figma designs into functional and engaging user interfaces using Vue.js, ensuring high-quality implementation and user experience.

·       API Integration: Seamlessly integrate backend REST API endpoints to create dynamic, data-driven web applications.

·       Responsive Design: Implement responsive web design principles to ensure our applications are mobile-friendly and provide a consistent experience across all devices.

·       Real-Time Interaction: Develop real-time features, such as chatbots and live updates, enhancing user engagement and interactivity.

·       Tool Proficiency: Utilize SASS for advanced styling solutions and manage project dependencies and scripts with Yarn.

·       Testing and Deployment: Write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough testing to minimize bugs. Experience with deployment tools and processes, especially within a Docker and GCP environment, is advantageous.

·       Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with backend developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with project goals. Excellent communication skills are essential for this collaborative environment.

Qualifications

·       Essential Experience: A minimum of 5 years in frontend development, with extensive experience in Vue.js, SASS, and managing projects with Yarn.

·       Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with responsive design principles. Familiarity with Vue.js ecosystem tools (Vue.js, Vue Router) is expected.

·       Testing: Experience with frontend testing frameworks and a commitment to quality assurance.

·       Version Control: Proficient use of Git in a professional setting, including branching, merging, and pull requests.

·       Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex issues into manageable tasks.

·       Continuous Learning: A dedication to continuous improvement and staying abreast of the latest frontend technologies and best practices.

Nice-to-Have

·       Experience with backend technologies, particularly Django.

·       Familiarity with Docker, GCP, and PostgreSQL.

·       Understanding of serverless architectures and microservices.
