About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer UI/UX at Leica Microsystems, you will be an integral part of our R&D team, working on one of the leading software solutions in microscopy. You will develop innovative, user-friendly solutions for demanding applications and customers, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Your role will focus on creating exceptional user experiences and interfaces for our microscopy software, ensuring both design excellence and efficient development processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that help make the invisible visible, empowering customers to create a healthier and better world.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape the "Leica look & feel" with a focus on design, usability, and architecture.
• Derive software workflows from customer requirements.
• Select and implement design patterns for efficient development of GUI libraries.
• Develop software in C# using the WPF framework, ensuring adherence to project timelines and processes.
• Maintain high standards for software solutions in collaboration with the QA team.
• Create software specifications and documentation.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Natural Sciences, with extensive experience in software development.
• Several years of experience in developing user interfaces, preferably with WPF.
• Creative design ideas for user interfaces and workflows.
• Experience with modern software development methods and tools.
• Strong knowledge of C# programming language.
• Good English and German language skills.
