Overview
We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on Social Media Manager to take full ownership of theirs's social presence — with a strong focus on TikTok and Instagram. This person will be responsible for developing, producing, and managing engaging content that grows the brand’s audience and strengthens its online community. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter who lives and breathes social media, understands what resonates with female audiences, and has a proven track record of growing engagement and followers for consumer brands — ideally within the DTC or eCommerce space. You’ll have the opportunity to rebuild Katoura’s organic presence almost from scratch, with full creative freedom and measurable impact on the brand’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of Katoura’s social channels — primarily TikTok and Instagram
- Develop a content strategy that drives follower growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Create, film, and edit short-form social content aligned with the brand voice and audience.
- Manage the full content calendar — from ideation to publishing and community engagement.
- Use existing media assets (B-roll library of 500+ clips) while also producing fresh, original content.
- Write copy and captions that reflect the brand’s tone and mission.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community interaction.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize based on key KPIs (impressions, follower growth, engagement).
- Collaborate with the founder and broader marketing team to align organic and paid initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience managing social media for DTC or eCommerce brands.
- Proven success growing TikTok and/or Instagram audiences in the US or Australian markets.
- Strong skills in content creation, including filming, editing, and post-production.
- Proficiency with editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
- Deep understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
- Excellent written communication and creative storytelling abilities.
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Experience working remotely with international teams.
- Advanced English proficiency required.
- Familiarity with feminine wellness or lifestyle brands is preferred.
