At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.

Our client is seeking a Marketing Lead, a do-it-all operator who will create our entire marketing function from the ground up.

As an AI-powered company, we expect you to be an AI power user who leverages cutting-edge tools to move at superhuman speed. You'll use AI for content creation, campaign optimization, data analysis, and strategic insights, amplifying your productivity to achieve what traditionally takes entire teams.

This isn't a role for someone who needs a playbook; you'll be writing it. You'll own demand generation in a complex B2B AI space where buyers are C-level executives making significant technology investments. You'll spend your mornings writing copy (AI-assisted), designing campaigns (AI-optimized), and analyzing conversion metrics (AI-enhanced), then shift to crafting positioning strategy and planning our go-to-market evolution.

You're building marketing capabilities that don't exist yet—doing the work yourself and collaborating with a marketing analyst—and using AI as your force multiplier, not delegating it. This is hands-on, AI-amplified marketing execution at the highest level.

What You'll Build & Own

Lead Generation Engine

  • Enterprise Pipeline Development: Single-handedly build predictable lead gen for $40K–$80K enterprise deals targeting Customer Success, Product, and Sales executives—using AI to accelerate research, personalization, and optimization.
  • Multi-Channel Demand Gen: Personally design and execute integrated campaigns across paid search, social, content, events, and ABM—leveraging AI for content creation, audience targeting, and performance optimization.
  • Conversion Optimization: Own the entire funnel from awareness to SQL, using AI tools for rapid A/B testing, personalization, and lead scoring optimization.
  • Sales Enablement: Create collateral, case studies, and sales tools using AI for rapid content production and customization.
  • Performance Analytics: Build measurement frameworks using AI-enhanced analytics for attribution, ROI tracking, and predictive pipeline insights—all analysis done by you with AI acceleration.

Messaging & Positioning

  • Category Creation: Position BackEngine in the emerging "AI-powered customer intelligence" space using AI tools for market research and competitive analysis.
  • Buyer Journey Mapping: Develop messaging for complex B2B buyers across Customer Success, Product, Sales, and Executive audiences—using AI for rapid persona development and message testing.
  • Competitive Differentiation: Articulate our unique value against traditional CI tools, point solutions, and internal manual processes—leveraging AI for competitive intelligence gathering.
  • Content Strategy: Drive thought leadership content using AI for rapid, high-quality content production that establishes BackEngine as the category leader.
  • Brand Development: Evolve our brand using AI-assisted design and messaging optimization while maintaining startup agility.

Required Experience & Traits

Non-Negotiables

  • AI-Powered Marketing Expert: 4–7 years’ experience as a hands-on marketing executor at early-stage B2B SaaS companies (Series A/B)—we're looking for someone who has personally built and run campaigns, not managed teams doing it.
  • AI Proficiency: Deep expertise using AI tools for content creation, campaign optimization, data analysis, and strategic insights. You should be leveraging ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, and specialized marketing AI tools to move 3–5x faster than traditional marketers.
  • Enterprise Lead Gen Expertise: Proven track record personally generating qualified leads for $15K+ ACV enterprise sales cycles.
  • Full-Stack AI-Amplified Marketer: Comfortable personally writing copy (AI-assisted), building campaigns (AI-optimized), running analytics (AI-enhanced), and developing strategic positioning.
  • Quantified Individual Results: Specific metrics showing pipeline impact, conversion improvements, or revenue attribution from campaigns you personally executed using modern AI-powered workflows.
  • AI/Tech Deep Understanding: Not just familiarity—you need to deeply understand AI/ML platforms, their capabilities, limitations, and business applications. You'll be marketing to AI-savvy buyers who will see through surface-level knowledge.

What We're Looking For

  • Solo Operator: You've personally executed marketing campaigns using AI tools to amplify productivity and achieve results that traditionally require larger teams.
  • Enterprise Buyer Empathy: Understanding of how executives evaluate and purchase enterprise software, especially AI-powered solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success on GTM strategy.
  • Analytical Rigor: Data-driven approach using AI for campaign optimization, attribution modeling, and predictive analytics—you personally run the analysis with AI assistance.
  • Scrappy + Sophisticated: Can personally build guerrilla campaigns using AI tools while crafting enterprise-grade positioning for technical buyers.

Critical Requirements:

You must be an AI power user who can leverage tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and specialized marketing AI to work 3–5x faster than traditional approaches.

Startup Success Traits

  • Adaptable: Thrive in fast-changing environments where priorities shift quickly.
  • Ownership Mentality: Take initiative without hand-holding; solve problems proactively.
  • Mission-Driven: Genuine excitement about AI's potential to transform business operations.
  • Collaborative: Work effectively across small teams; low ego, high impact approach.
  • Resilient: Handle setbacks and iterate quickly; startup marketing requires thick skin.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: $3,000 to $4,500 monthly salary.
  • Schedule: Work hours aligned with EST or PST time zones.
  • Work Arrangement: Full remote position as a contractor; work from anywhere.
  • Perks: 10 days of paid time off + US national holidays.
