About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Paid Search Specialist to oversee both Paid Search (Google Ads) campaigns and Local Service Ads (LSA) programs for our clients. This hybrid role requires expertise in digital campaign management, data-driven optimization, and hands-on experience navigating Google Ads and Google's pay-per-lead LSA platform.
As part of our performance marketing team, you will be instrumental in driving qualified leads and measurable results for location-based and national businesses. This role blends campaign execution, strategic analysis, and client collaboration to maximize efficiency and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
Paid Search (Google Ads) Campaigns
- Develop and execute comprehensive Paid Search strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other search platforms
- Conduct keyword research, audience segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform campaign planning
- Build and manage account structures, including ad groups, keyword lists, responsive search ads, and extensions
- Optimize campaigns to achieve KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion volume, and lead quality
- Analyze search term reports to refine targeting and identify new growth opportunities
- Collaborate with creative, CRO, and client services teams to align messaging and landing page experiences
- Stay current with Paid Search trends, Google Ads platform updates, and emerging best practices
Local Service Ads (LSA) Program Management
- Lead the setup and ongoing management of Google LSA accounts across multiple locations
- Oversee profile creation, verification processes, eligibility checks, and background screenings to maintain Google Guaranteed status
- Optimize business profiles, service areas, and service offerings to improve ad visibility and qualified lead match rates
- Monitor lead performance daily; proactively tag, manage, and dispute invalid leads (spam, out-of-service-area, unqualified)
- Provide guidance to clients on lead inbox usage, expedited follow-ups, and call center responsiveness to maintain high LSA rankings
- Continuously manage and adjust bidding strategies to remain competitive while controlling cost per lead
- Deliver monthly performance reporting, uncover insights on lead trends, conversion rates, and missed opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Google LSA policies, certifications, insurance requirements, and platform updates
- Serve as the primary point of contact for LSA troubleshooting, policy changes, and strategic recommendations
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing Paid Search campaigns within an agency or performance marketing environment
- Working knowledge of Local Service Ads (LSA) management is preferred; willingness to become an LSA expert required
- Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), and reporting tools such as Looker Studio
- Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data visualization)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into actionable strategies
- Exceptional attention to detail in campaign setup, optimization, and lead management processes
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, campaign updates, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and client programs simultaneously
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot issues and adapt to evolving Google Ads and LSA platform requirements
