About the Role
Himalaya is seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to build and scale a modern growth engine across digital channels – including Amazon, social commerce, and DTC.
This role is for someone who has proven success building a high volume, content-driven growth marketing function in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving organization with success as measured by revenue growth. The person who is right for this role is someone who has rolled up their sleeves, built teams from the ground up, and has experience turning content, media, and creators into real revenue.
You will build capabilities across Amazon content, social media, social commerce (namely TikTok Shop), content and influencer marketing and turn them into a connected, high-performing system that drives measurable growth. The Growth Marketing team will own how content and creator-led performance (influencer, affiliate, UGC) scales into a durable growth engine across the Himalaya portfolio and across critical sales channels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a Growth Marketing team that includes specialists in Amazon content, social commerce, social media, content management, and influencer marketing.
- Drive revenue growth by scaling traffic, improving conversion, and optimizing content performance across platforms.
- Build a high-output content center of excellence through producing and testing large volumes of creative across platforms to rapidly identify and scale what works.
- Lead Amazon content and conversion strategy in close partnership with E-Commerce Team, which leads search and advertising.
- Scale social commerce and build TikTok Shop into a major revenue contributor.
- Leverage paid media as a strategic growth lever—owning or overseeing campaign strategy, execution, and optimization to scale high-performing content and creator-led initiatives across platforms (e.g., TikTok, Meta).
- Build scorecards and actionable reporting systems for ongoing performance tracking.
- Establish AI as a competitive advantage by identifying, testing, and scaling tools and workflows that materially improve content velocity, media efficiency, and decision-making across channels.
- Champion Himalaya’s readiness for the agentic shelf (in conjunction with the Brand Team) by ensuring content, product data, and digital assets are structured to win in environments where AI agents drive discovery and purchase decisions.
- Evolve the growth engine to incorporate lifecycle and retention strategies (e.g., email, SMS, CRM programs) as DTC and owned customer relationships scale.
Qualifications Experience:
- 8–12+ years in digital marketing, eCommerce, or growth roles within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
- Experience building growth marketing functions in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrated success scaling content-driven growth strategies
- Experience leading teams and managing relationships across content, media, and influencer marketing
- Proficiency in TikTok Shop and creator ecosystems
- Experience in Amazon marketing, particularly in content, merchandising, and conversion optimization
Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to connect data to strategy
- Entrepreneurial with bias toward action, experimentation and ability to chart a course vs. follow one. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and figuring out how to add value in business situations with no existing process or solution, as well as to discern priorities without supervision.
- Ability and willingness to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- Ability to be highly effective working with a remote team and having only periodic in-person contact with leadership
- Proven high use of AI for practical applications in the marketing function
- Deep expertise in conversion optimization and proven ability to scale revenue through iterative testing, rapid experimentation, and continuous optimization across channels
- Deep understanding of paid social media (e.g., Meta, TikTok) as a growth lever, including campaign management, CAC/ROAS optimization, and scaling high-performing creative
- Understanding of the creator ecosystem, including how to source, scale, and monetize creator relationships through affiliate, UGC, and paid amplification models
- Expertise in TikTok Shop
- Experience in Amazon Seller Central and tools such as Helium10 and Jungle Scout
- Working knowledge of Shopify and DTC eCommerce, including understanding of conversion drivers, site merchandising, and how paid, content, and lifecycle channels drive performance
- Understanding of lifecycle marketing and retention strategies (e.g., email, SMS), and how they contribute to LTV and long-term growth
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel regularly (normally quarterly) to headquarters in Sugar Land, TX, as well as travel periodically to attend industry events and to support vendor/customer meetings
