Job Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of network infrastructure in customer environments, ensuring networks are running smoothly, upgrading networks to provide maximum performance as well as providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests. The ideal candidate is interested in keeping up with current technologies, trends and best practices through educational opportunities, personal networks, and professional publications. You will be part of an engineering team responsible for the design and realization of scalable, highly available and maintainable solutions for High Point Networks clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support LAN and WAN network equipment, knowledge of STP/RSTP/MSTP, OSPF, VRRP, 802.1x, switch stacking, multi-chassis LAG, QOS desired
Install, configure, and support enterprise wireless solutions, knowledge of controller-based and cloud solutions desirable
Install, configure, and support NGFW security solutions, including monitoring and management platforms
Ability to troubleshooting complex multi-vendor network issues in LAN and WAN networks
Assist with helpdesk support tickets and work directly with end users to resolve technical issues
Remote access solutions supporting IPSEC VPN and SSL-VPN, MFA experience desirable
Document network implementations in accordance with company standards
Minimum 3 years related experience
