For the last six years, VESTBERRY have been building a fintech analytical tool that’s helping manage billions of dollars worth of Private Equity & Venture Capital fund investments. They are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to fulfill our ambitious yet realistic plans, who takes pleasure in all facets of software engineering. You can help us build new cool product features, lead a team up to 7-8 engineers, tweak system & application architecture and improve our development practices together with other engineering team members.

Who they are looking for:

An experienced software engineer with a proven track record of leading engineering teams (2+ years)
You have a solid technical background with expertise in one or more areas of our tech stack (ideally Node.js/React)
You excel at identifying and solving complex technical challenges while balancing the needs of the business and the team
You have a passion for innovation and continuously look for ways to improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and product quality
You are well-versed in software development best practices and processes, including planning, building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining, and you can guide the team while fostering collaboration and continuous feedback
You are able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations effectively
You have ideally worked on B2B SaaS solution.
Communication in English AND Slovak or Czech language is required.

What you will work on:

Product Development

Understanding the high-level picture of the product strategy, usage, customer use cases and their needs.
Contributing to product vision and product strategy in alignment with company strategy.
Solutioning team initiatives, driving their delivery in an iterative manner and ensuring the technical quality.
Driving design or influencing cross-team projects, cooperating with other team leads.
Being the main partner to product manager and product designer within the team.
Hands-on contribution into team delivery.

Team Management

Managing members of the team, defining their goals, responsibilities, providing feedback.
Growing, coaching and developing the team members to help them progress in their careers.
Driving engagement and productivity of the team.
Acting as a hiring manager, recruiting members of the team.
Being the main point of contact representing the team in cross-organizational matters.
