Position Overview

Heroic is on a mission to help people show up as their best selves, and we need a strategic, high-impact Content Marketing Team Lead to take our marketing emails, social media content, daily content systems, and pitch decks to the next level.

This role will be heavily focused on copywriting and editing, and we’re looking for a storyteller to help share Heroic’s messaging in a thoughtful, compelling way, aligned with our brand voice, and optimized for engagement and conversion.

As the Content Marketing Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for crafting and refining marketing emails, social media content, landing pages, pitch decks, and content funnels that drive action and build deep connections with our audience. You’ll also own our editorial quality, ensuring every word that leaves Heroic is polished, clear, and impactful.

This is a high-ownership role for a growth-minded, creative, and detail-obsessed writer/editor who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Emails & Content Funnels

• Write and edit high-converting email campaigns for product launches, promotions, and content distribution.
• Refine and optimize automated email sequences to improve engagement, retention, and conversions.
• Develop and maintain a strategic email calendar, aligning with Heroic’s marketing initiatives and seasonal trends.
• Test subject lines, messaging, and formatting to maximize open rates and engagement.

2. Social Media & Daily Content Systems

• Create compelling, brand-aligned social media copy for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels.
• Collaborate with the design and video teams to ensure posts are optimized for engagement.
• Support Heroic’s daily content system, helping craft and refine +1s, Daily Wisdom, and Heroic Challenges.
• Maintain a consistent, inspiring, and actionable brand voice across all platforms.

3. Copy Editing & Brand Voice Stewardship

• Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across all written content.
• Refine existing materials to elevate impact and ensure every word supports Heroic’s mission.
• Uphold best practices in style, grammar, and brand voice, acting as the final quality check before content goes live.

4. Pitch Deck & Marketing Collateral Development

• Write and refine high-impact pitch decks to support enterprise and partnership initiatives.
• Develop marketing one-pagers, case studies, and landing page copy that drive business growth.
• Collaborate with sales and partnerships teams to create persuasive materials tailored to key audiences.

5. Editorial & Messaging Strategy

• Own and evolve Heroic’s editorial style guide, ensuring consistency across all messaging.
• Develop content frameworks and messaging blueprints to streamline content creation across teams.
• Stay ahead of trends in storytelling, persuasive writing, and digital marketing copywriting.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Marketing Emails & Funnels:

• Increase email open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
• Optimize email sequences to improve customer retention and lifetime value.

Social Media & Content Engagement:

• Increase social engagement rates through compelling copy.
• Grow Heroic’s brand presence and community engagement across key platforms.

Copy Editing & Brand Consistency:

• Achieve 100% brand voice consistency across all published materials.
• Reduce editing revisions, improving content production efficiency.

Pitch Deck & Marketing Collateral Development:

• Improve conversion rates on pitch presentations.
• Develop high-converting landing pages that drive product sales and signups.

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or editorial roles.
• Proven track record of writing high-converting marketing emails and social content.
• Strong editorial skills—you know how to refine, simplify, and elevate messaging.
• Experience with direct-response copywriting and sales-focused messaging.
• A strategic mindset—you don’t just write words; you craft narratives that drive action.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools (email platforms, analytics, A/B testing).
• A deep passion for personal development, leadership, and high performance.

*Salary Range for this role is $50k - $70k USD depending on experience.
