Herbal Goodness, a mission-driven, women- and minority-owned business specializing in premium herbal supplements and superfoods, is seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to oversee and drive our marketing strategy for aggressive growth across multiple channels. This individual will play a pivotal role in scaling our D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) e-commerce efforts and B2B retail strategy, all while supporting the development and optimization of our marketing tools and platforms, including our GHL CRM and external agency relationships. This high-impact role is designed for a dynamic, results-driven leader with a deep understanding of B2C and B2B marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:**
**
Marketing Strategy and Leadership:**
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to accelerate brand growth and revenue, with an emphasis on driving D2C sales through our Ecommerce platforms and B2B retail partnerships.
- Lead brand development and positioning, ensuring alignment with Herbal Goodness' core values and mission.
- Design and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies across email, social media, SEO, and paid ads (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, etc.), leveraging the latest marketing trends and tools to drive sales.
- Provide leadership in planning and delivering major marketing initiatives, including new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand awareness efforts.
- Establish and track marketing KPIs to measure success, continuously optimizing and adjusting campaigns for maximum impact and return on investment.
Supervision and Execution of Marketing Campaigns:
- Oversee the deployment of our GHL CRM system, ensuring seamless integration of marketing automation workflows, email campaigns, and customer segmentation strategies to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Supervise and manage external paid advertising agencies, ensuring that campaigns are effectively executed, optimized, and aligned with business goals.
- Monitor paid advertising performance across platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.) and drive ROI-positive outcomes for each channel.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure consistent, high-quality marketing collateral, including content, ads, social media posts, and email templates.
B2B and Retail Strategy:
- Drive our B2B retail strategy, focusing on expanding our presence in health food stores, co-ops, pharmacies, and major retailers like Walgreens, CVS Health, and Whole Foods.
- Support partnerships with wholesale accounts and distribution channels to enhance our brand reach and increase retail sales.
- Develop targeted marketing campaigns to grow relationships with potential retail partners and customers, and manage day-to-day marketing for retail promotions.
- Ensure that product positioning, messaging, and marketing collateral align with retail partners’ needs and requirements.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to align marketing strategies with overall business goals, brand vision, and growth objectives.
- Work alongside sales and product teams to refine product messaging and develop strategies that drive sales conversions across digital and physical retail channels.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on campaign performance, metrics, and overall marketing effectiveness.
Team and Agency Management:
- Lead and coordinate internal marketing teams and external agencies to ensure marketing efforts are executed effectively, efficiently, and aligned with the brand’s vision.
- Build a cohesive marketing team by hiring, mentoring, and developing junior marketing staff when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing Director, or senior marketing leader in an e-commerce, CPG, or B2B industry with at least 5-7 years of experience.
- Experience in digital marketing, brand development, paid advertising, and CRM management, with a strong understanding of Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and Email Marketing Automation.
- Expertise in GHL CRM or similar platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and the ability to design, optimize, and manage marketing automation workflows.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce and D2C strategies and ability to scale marketing efforts across both digital and physical channels.
- Experience with B2B marketing and retail partnerships, ideally in health and wellness, supplements, or consumer goods.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be adaptable to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive data-driven decisions, including proficiency in Google Analytics, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver innovative and impactful campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multinational and diverse teams.
- Strong experience in budget management and resource allocation for marketing campaigns.
- Prior experience in the wellness, herbal, or natural products industry is a plus.
