UX/UI Designer (Web & Mobile) - Healthtech start up
Type: Part-Time Contract (2-3 months)
Location: Remote
We are hiring a UX/UI Designer to join our precision nutrition for chronic pain management tart up as a contractor and overhaul our patient onboarding, patient engagement, clinical interface, and protocol generation flows across both mobile and web platforms. The ideal candidate understands how to design intuitive experiences for both clinicians and patients in a sensitive, health-related context. Our company is a future unicorn led by two Polish founders who have now taken the company to the US.
Apply if you are excited to join a startup backed by US venture capital investors, offering a unique opportunity to grow your career and enter the US market. Both founders are Polish and excited to work with regional talent — future in-person meetups in Poland or nearby are likely!
Front-end development skills are not required, but you will work closely with engineers who will implement your designs.
Responsibilities:
- Audit and redesign onboarding flow for the mobile app (gamified, voice-to-text, easy to navigate).
- Design the Dietitian Interface including dashboards, food filtering, and meal plan creation tools.
- Create visual feedback and motivational elements (e.g., coins, milestones).
- Prepare Figma files for development handoff, and collaborate closely with engineers.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in mobile and web UX/UI design.
- Strong portfolio showing extensive work in edtech, healthtech, or other behavior change focused products.
- Excellent understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability.
- Proficient in Figma and collaborative design tools.
- Ability to conduct lightweight user research or apply insights from stakeholders.
- Passionate about advancing food as medicine and building a future unicorn.
- Excited to join a startup backed by US venture capital investors, offering a unique opportunity to grow your career and enter the US market.
- Ready to start now and commit to at least 10 hours a week.
Bonus:
- Experience with patient-facing apps, digital therapeutics, or clinician tools.
- Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant design principles.
