Purpose
The Senior AI Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable AI-enabled software solutions, cloud-native applications, and data platforms within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role partners with business, product, analytics, consulting, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready technology solutions that support healthcare and highly regulated environments.

Solution Design and Engineering
Design, develop, deploy, and support scalable AI-enabled applications, APIs, and data solutions.
Translate business and client requirements into secure, production-ready technical solutions.
Develop cloud, data engineering, and AI/ML solutions using Azure, Databricks, and related technologies.
Build and integrate AI-enabled capabilities including generative AI, predictive analytics, automation, and NLP solutions.
Apply modern software engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
Support solution optimization, troubleshooting, scalability, and operational performance improvement.
Security and Compliance
Design and support secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that protect healthcare and other sensitive data.
Apply healthcare privacy, security, governance, and compliance standards throughout the solution lifecycle.
Support platform reliability, monitoring, and operational improvement initiatives.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with product owners, consultants, data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
Contribute to technical standards, architecture discussions, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging AI, cloud, healthcare data, and software engineering trends.
Support a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications
Education & Training
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, information systems, or related field required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Master’s degree and relevant cloud, data engineering, or AI/ML certifications preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience required, including experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. Experience developing AI-enabled applications, data engineering solutions, and cloud-native technologies required. Experience working with healthcare data, HIPAA-regulated environments, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
