Position Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions to support initiatives such as member retention, risk stratification, claims forecasting, and fraud detection.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across marketing, product, operations, and clinical teams.
• Support innovation through the design and execution of analytical experiments.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust, scalable, and fit-for-purpose.
• Contribute to the development of dashboards and data visualisations to support our self-service analytics strategy.
• Maintain documentation, code repositories, and adhere to data governance and privacy standards.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a data science or advanced analytics role, ideally within health, insurance, or financial services.
• Proficient in Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modelling.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Streamlit).
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into business language.
• Experience with Snowflake is a bonus.
• Knowledge of the Australian private health insurance industry / healthcare data is highly desirable.
