Senior AI Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design, develop, and operate modern web applications across SaaS portfolio (Praxis, Agentic AI, ifap, Therafox, Intermedix, etc.) across frontend, backend, and DevOps layers.
• Integrate AI-native features and agentic experiences into products using LLMs, Retrieval, Tool-Use, and structured workflows to create value for medical professionals and patients.
• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to elevate engineering and AI-engineering quality.
• Stay close to users, understand healthcare workflows, and bring an entrepreneurial, outcome-driven mindset to feature development.

What You'll Need

• Several years of senior experience in full-stack engineering of modern web applications.
• Deep knowledge in at least one frontend stack (React or Angular) and one backend stack (Java/Spring Boot or Python).
• Completed university degree (Master or PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Proven practical experience with core technologies like React/Angular, Java Spring Boot, Python, C#, Kafka, Terraform, and Cloud/DevOps environments (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Experience with LLM tools like Azure OpenAI, Anthropic SDK, or MCP is a strong plus.
• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written), strong problem-solving skills, innovation enthusiasm, high proactivity.
