Description

A global technology business in the hospitality-tech sector is hiring a Principal Frontend Software Engineer to lead the development of modern, scalable digital products used by venues worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to work on greenfield projects that blend data, design, and technology to deliver seamless guest experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Define the technical vision and architecture for frontend systems across multiple products
• Lead the design and delivery of component-based web applications using TypeScript, React, and Redux
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leadership to shape long-term strategy and coding standards
• Mentor and support engineers across teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Work closely with cross-functional partners to translate business goals into performant, accessible user interfaces
• Stay current with emerging technologies to keep the frontend stack innovative, secure, and maintainable
• Own mission-critical web initiatives from architecture through to reliable, scalable delivery

About you

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years in frontend development, including experience at a lead or principal level
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture (state management, component design, performance optimisation)
• Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and backend integration
• Proven ability to influence technical strategy and align teams in complex engineering settings
• Passion for creating elegant, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces

This is a fully remote position (UK-based) with occasional travel to London.
